Mental Health Advocacy
While Matt’s criminal defense services are available to clients of all types, Matt has specialized expertise in providing criminal defense for clients struggling with mental illness. Matt recognizes the myriad ways in which the criminal justice system is especially difficult to navigate for this underserved population, and has experience helping mentally ill clients and their families successfully navigate both the court system and the mental health treatment system.
Parachute Trial Counsel
Matt’s extensive litigation experience and theatre background make him especially skilled at presenting a case with minimal preparation. If you have a case unexpectedly heading to trial and need a lawyer to take over at the last minute, Matt has the skill, confidence, and poise to step in and provide the highest level of trial advocacy. While Matt specializes in criminal defense, Matt does have civil litigation experience and can provide this service for civil trials where appropriate.
